About
Sanctuary of Truth
Rising around 105 metres above the Gulf of Thailand, the Sanctuary of Truth is built without nails or metal fasteners. Every surface is covered in intricate carvings that draw on Thai, Khmer, Indian and Chinese philosophy and mythology.
Construction began in 1981 and continues — you can watch master carvers at work. Allow two to three hours, including one of the short cultural performances.
